By 2026, the district is set to welcome 5,000 new jobs, 5,000 new residents and the construction of 2,500 new housing units. In anticipation of this development, on March 12, 2024, the CCI Nice Côte d'Azur launched the Plan de Mobilité Employeur Commun (PDMEC) named “M'AIRIDIA”, with the aim of improving air quality in the district, through the implementation of various environmental actions.
In concrete terms, the “M'AIRIDIA” program aims to encourage environmentally-friendly modes of transport such as cycling, walking, car-sharing, electric vehicles and public transport in the Nice area. A study by the CCI showed that the majority of residents use their own vehicle or a motorized two-wheeler, but the good news is that a large proportion are ready to opt for public transport.
FAYAT Bâtiment's commitment to M'AIRIDIA
FAYAT Bâtiment is one of the first partners to get involved in this project alongside schools and companies. Actions include awareness-raising campaigns, training, trials of alternative means of transport to the private car, mobility challenges, events to promote cycling in May, and a week dedicated to mobility in September 2024. And all with rewards to match!
To ensure the success of the project through to its conclusion in 2026, when a final evaluation will be carried out, a mobility referent has been appointed in each company and school to liaise with the CCI.
Keep up to date with our progress on this structuring project for a more environmentally-friendly future.
