An innovative, multifunctional campus in the heart of Marseille
The La Plateforme Campus site, north of Marseille, represents a major construction project, with a total surface area of 25,000 m² dedicated to education, culture and social life. This complex project calls on all the expertise of BEC Construction Provence in both new construction and heavy rehabilitation.
The heart of the project is the La Plateforme digital school, a modern 18,000 m² building that will eventually accommodate 3,000 students. The building's contemporary architecture integrates the area's former industrial wasteland, creating a harmonious space between past and future. At the same time, a residence for students and young professionals will provide a 6,000 m² living environment, with 170 rooms and a capacity of 230 people. These two infrastructures are scheduled for simultaneous delivery in September 2026, to provide students with a state-of-the-art learning and living environment.
A cultural and ecological hub focused on sustainability
The La Plateforme Campus is not just an educational establishment, it also aims to become a place open to all, with 2,500 m² of cultural space including cinemas and a 650-seat auditorium, where cultural events and concerts will be held. This multi-dimensional approach continues with the creation of a 300-seat school restaurant, a community grocery store and an associative incubator, all contributing to the campus's social and community base.
On the environmental front, the project is aiming for certifications such as BDM, BREEAM, RE 2020, and E+C- (level E2C1), guaranteeing first-rate energy and ecological performance. Thanks to this strong commitment to sustainability, La Plateforme Campus will become a model of environmentally-friendly innovation, positioning Marseille as a leading educational and cultural center in the Mediterranean.
