The Aix-en-Provence regional authority approved the launch of a project that has been long-awaited by young people in the Aix area, the SMAC contemporary music venue. Intended as a home for contemporary music (rock, pop, groove, etc.), it will also create considerable buzz due to its original look - like a rock in the Aix landscape.

SMAC IN AIX-EN-PROVENCE

CARI Méd, a FAYAT BÂTIMENT Division branch, was awarded the design and construction of the SMAC contemporary music venue in Aix-en-Provence. This rock-shaped building will have two floors and the indoor halls will be separated by patio areas. It will house a nearly 1,000m² concert hall with a capacity of 960 to 1,500 spectators and the venue will also feature a 400-capacity club room, 5 rehearsal studios, an artist centre, an admin centre, a refreshment area, and a shop!
