Our history

Since it was founded in 1957, the Fayat Group has grown in line with a strong conviction: success is based on proximity, expertise and an entrepreneurial spirit.

This vision gave rise to a strategy of diversification and rational growth, based on the acquisition of local SMEs with strong local roots and a reputation for expertise. This approach, which has enabled us to build solid expertise in the construction and civil works sector, led to the creation of the Fayat Bâtiment Division, the fruit of a controlled strategy combining local know-how with national ambition.

Created in July 2014, Construction & Patrimoine (C&P) became part of the FAYAT Group in October 2016. The company is developing a range of local works and services designed to respond quickly to the needs of the Marseilles area.

As a subsidiary of Bec Construction Provence, C&P can draw on shared human, technical and logistical resources. This support enables it to operate with agility on projects of manageable size, backed by the strength of a national group. This complementarity enhances the efficiency of local teams and ensures continuity of service for both public and private clients.

2016 – Birth of the Fayat Bâtiment Division

After the foundation of the division, the organisation reached a another major milestone in 2016, when Fayat Bâtiment became one of the seven divisions of the Fayat Group, with its own dedicated executive committee, reflecting stronger governance and a clearly defined strategy. The Division quickly established itself as a brand in its own right, bringing together a network of agencies and subsidiaries throughout France and supported by a wide range of trades and expertise. It supports its clients across the entire value chain, from design and construction through to maintenance and operations, while also incorporating property development. Thanks to its general contracting expertise and multidisciplinary teams, Fayat Bâtiment operates in the framework of global contracts (comprehensive public performance-based contracts (MPGP), design-delivery-operation-maintenance contracts (CREM), design-build, etc.) as well as more traditional contracts, and delivers projects of all sizes, from small local works to complex, major national programmes. This structure has given new impetus to the Division's development by consolidating its territorial coverage and  ability to respond to the diverse challenges facing different regions.

At the same time, BP Construction also operates in lowland areas, where it carries out residential projects to the same rigorous standards.

2012 – Organisation of the Fayat Group's Building Division

The acquisitions carried out over the years led to the creation in 2012 of a structured building activity in the Group that was now clearly identified within the Building Division, encompassing all integrated subsidiaries. The aim was to unite construction companies around a common vision, while preserving their autonomy, their individual identities and their local roots, as close as possible to the areas in which they operate.
